We’ve Got Spirit, Yes We Do…
That perennial cheer is pretty meaningful for AdeptiCon, where good sportsmanship and team events have long been priorities for the convention. The camaraderie that results in a team of like-minded hobbyists planning, building, painting, displaying, and, finally, playing games with a thematic army is an amazing phenomenon, and any team that brings a well-painted and themed army to an event has, in our opinion, already won.
With this long-running emphasis in mind, AdeptiCon is proud to announce that we’re sponsoring the ‘Team Spirit Award’ for this year’s Challengers Cup, the largest 8-player team Warhammer 40,000 event in the United States. The winners of the ‘Team Spirit’ prize will find themselves with enough credit to bring their ‘esprit de corps’ to AdeptiCon 2026!

Am I understanding correctly that after registering, you can return to the site to add more specific gaming events to your registration? Or does this all have to be done on the original registration?
Am I remembering wrong or was event registration separate from Adepticon registration last year?
will it still be free to walk the floor and buy stuff ?

Am I missing something? There doesn’t seem to be an “Epic Scale” category on the GW info page.
Team Yankee Team Tournament
3/29/25
Grab your army and find a friend for the first ever Battlefront Team Tournament at AdeptiCon! Individual players will be matched on the morning of the tournament.
Standard format tournament with a twist! Each player will submit a 80pt list following the standard list building rules but are limited to only TWO (2) formations and ONE (1) infantry unit in a list (not including AA Missile/Mortar Teams). These lists will use the most current extended mission table, dynamic points, and FAQ released at least 30 days before AdeptiCon. Reserves will be calculated on a team basis and will NOT be impacted by "deep" reserves. Any mission with deep reserves will be played as normal reserves with all other modifiers listed in the mission.
Players will enter solo and will be allowed to form their own teams before the first game. Random selection for those who have entered without a pre-planned partner will be available as well. Teams DO NOT have to be completely NATO/WARPAC.
Recreate desert storm, reunite West and East Germany early, or launch a full invasion of Europe as the Soviets and their Iranian Allies!
Prizes for Best Mixed Team, Best Full NATO, Best Full WARPAC, Best Themed/Painted Team Army, and Best Individual Army Painted. Best team painted armies will be offered a spot in the "Adepti-Cup Painting Contest"! ... See MoreSee Less

Mark your calendars and set your alarms! Registration for AdeptiCon 2025 opens Sunday, January 12th at NOON Central (12:00 PM CST). We recommend that interested attendees peruse the preview schedule ( cvent.me/LY2edE ) to get familiar with the events currently available before registration goes live.

Happy Holidays and Registration Reminder
Wishing you and yours a very festive, safe, and healthy holidays. Whether you are celebrating Hanukkah, Christmas, Kwanza, the Solstice, Saturnalia, Yule, Wookie Life Day, or, like us, the annual Day of Remembrance for Kingston Falls and the tragic events of 1984 that shook that small Pennsylvania town forever...
Also, a quick reminder that registration opens live on January 12th and noon Central.
So, a Happy Holidays to everyone and remember the most important rule, the rule you can never forget, no matter how much they cry, no matter how much they beg, never feed them after midnight....

Merry Christmas to you as well. Wishing you lots of health, happiness and prosperity! May all be well with you and your close ones.
Guess what day it is?
It's WIP Wednesday! I've been busy with work the past week, trying to get things wrapped up before the holidays. Still managed to work on a bit of Flames of War though. Also some modern 1/2400 naval if I can ever find a good ruleset that doesn't require advanced degrees. What have you been working on? ... See MoreSee Less

Very cool
More work done on Land Raider 3. Should have all the colors blocked off by the end of the week.
Still working on my Blood Bowl team! But to be fair, they've been getting lots of games in when I'm not painting. Started on the chaos dwarf skin tone and that should paint up quick.
AdeptiCon 2025: Terrain Tuesday
Today we're showing off some of the work recently completed by the vaunted AdeptiCon Spray Team. To give the details on this latest round of terrain creation, we turn to Spray Team sub-commander, Andrew Gray, a talented painter and hobbyist...
"Another AdeptiCon Spray Team weekend is on the books! About a dozen guys cranked out over 600 pieces of 40K terrain (50 tables, give or take) in less than two days. My pod of three took care of 160 pieces in this scheme we're calling sandstone. Four more totes done, many more to go!
I made a quick guide on Bluesky if you're interested in our method (The Way of the Spray)."

WIP Wednesday - Not Just Historicals Edition.
It's a bit later on Wednesday (blame the thing I have to do to fund my hobbies), but what are you working on this week? I actually have some non-historical minis to share as my buddy was working on some Tomb Kings for Old World and some Salamanders for LI. Then we have the requisite Soviets. Curse their cheap equipment and piles of material. I've just been plugging along with German infantry. Soon I will get to move on to Hungarian infantry, so trading grey for brown. ... AdeptiCon 2025 Restaurant Recon: Oak Barrel Public House
This week's RR sees us visiting another local favorite, the Oak Barrel Public House. Our scouts tell us that the menu delivers an elevated pub fare, with burgers and artisan pizzas. WIP Wednesday.
What are you working on? We're 112 days out, so it's not officially crunch time yet. We're about a month out from cart launch, do you know what all you need to paint yet? We ran a Toys for Tots event last Saturday that was Christmas themed. Sadly, Santa was captured by the perfidious Warsaw Pact. Next year, NATO will have to invade Siberia to rescue him from his new workshops. Beyond that, we've been working on Soviet and German infantry for Flames of War.

Historical gaming is back, better than ever, and now under the same roof as its sci-fi and fantasy counterparts! In the scenic Baird Ballroom, overlooking the Milwaukee skyline, we'll refight battles of old and battles that never happened.

WIP Wednesday Returns!
It's been awhile. Things are getting cool now and we just had some snow here, so that means it's time for WIP Wednesday to return. What have you been working on? I've been mostly focused on game prep recently, have a lot of Germans, Soviets, and Hungarians to get ready for the con. Might try to sneak some Legion Imperialis in, but got to get the work done before the fun stuff. We've done some playtesting for our scenarios which has been encouraging me to hurry up and get everything done.
