We’ve Got Spirit, Yes We Do…

That perennial cheer is pretty meaningful for AdeptiCon, where good sportsmanship and team events have long been priorities for the convention. The camaraderie that results in a team of like-minded hobbyists planning, building, painting, displaying, and, finally, playing games with a thematic army is an amazing phenomenon, and any team that brings a well-painted and themed army to an event has, in our opinion, already won.

With this long-running emphasis in mind, AdeptiCon is proud to announce that we’re sponsoring the ‘Team Spirit Award’ for this year’s Challengers Cup, the largest 8-player team Warhammer 40,000 event in the United States. The winners of the ‘Team Spirit’ prize will find themselves with enough credit to bring their ‘esprit de corps’ to AdeptiCon 2026!

AdeptiCon 2025: Registration Walkthrough Video

Registration for AdeptiCon 2025 goes live on January 12th at noon Central Standard.

To facilitate this process and make it easier for veteran attendees and first-timers alike, we've put together a step-by-step walkthrough guide. This entertaining and informative video is now available and can be found on YouTube here: m.youtube.com/watch?v=XbgkvDKjwhc

This detailed tutorial should help ensure a smooth registration process for this year's convention. And, as a well-known Cold War military commander once noted, "knowing is half the battle!"

Am I understanding correctly that after registering, you can return to the site to add more specific gaming events to your registration? Or does this all have to be done on the original registration?

Am I remembering wrong or was event registration separate from Adepticon registration last year?

will it still be free to walk the floor and buy stuff ?

Question, that's a max of two formations per player, for a max of possibly four total formations per team?

Will be excellent for sure

Mark your calendars and set your alarms! Registration for AdeptiCon 2025 opens Sunday, January 12th at NOON Central (12:00 PM CST). We recommend that interested attendees peruse the preview schedule ( https://cvent.me/LY2edE ) to get familiar with the events currently available before registration goes live.

Be sure to bookmark the site below as once registration is LIVE on January 12th, you can begin your registration by navigating directly to:

https://web.cvent.com/event/9be91acc-9bc2-4703-9874-658f68341122/summary

We would advise NOT visiting the normal AdeptiCon website to navigate to the registration link the day that registration opens as that server is separate from the registration system and is NOT designed to handle the inevitable flood of traffic on opening day.

The tides of battle draw ever closer. Glorious victory awaits!

How will registration on the site be like for first timers? I know there's a lot of events going on so we are worried about the ones we want selling out before we can find them

Merry Christmas to you as well. Wishing you lots of health, happiness and prosperity! May all be well with you and your close ones.

Guess what day it is?

Its WIP Wednesday! Ive been busy with work the past week, trying to get things wrapped up before the holidays. Still managed to work on a bit of Flames of War though. Also some modern 1/2400 naval if I can ever find a good ruleset that doesnt require advanced degrees. What have you been working on?Image attachmentImage attachment

Very cool

More work done on Land Raider 3. Should have all the colors blocked off by the end of the week.

Still working on my Blood Bowl team! But to be fair, they've been getting lots of games in when I'm not painting. Started on the chaos dwarf skin tone and that should paint up quick.

AdeptiCon 2025: Terrain Tuesday

Today were showing off some of the work recently completed by the vaunted AdeptiCon Spray Team. To give the details on this latest round of terrain creation, we turn to Spray Team sub-commander, Andrew Gray, a talented painter and hobbyist...

Another AdeptiCon Spray Team weekend is on the books! About a dozen guys cranked out over 600 pieces of 40K terrain (50 tables, give or take) in less than two days. My pod of three took care of 160 pieces in this scheme were calling sandstone. Four more totes done, many more to go!

I made a quick guide on Bluesky if youre interested in our method (The Way of the Spray).

How does one become a sprayer? Where do you make all the terrain?

I love that the post is like “look at all this beautiful terrain we are working hard on” …….last picture, all of it thrown in the bin

Looking forward to some Magic the Gathering Commander 😁

I was looking forward to the world series board game events this year. I spent all 4 days over there last year. Hoping they're added before events go live. If not, they'll be a hotel room available.

WIP Wednesday - Not Just Historicals Edition.

Its a bit later on Wednesday (blame the thing I have to do to fund my hobbies), but what are you working on this week? I actually have some non-historical minis to share as my buddy was working on some Tomb Kings for Old World and some Salamanders for LI. Then we have the requisite Soviets. Curse their cheap equipment and piles of material. Ive just been plugging along with German infantry. Soon I will get to move on to Hungarian infantry, so trading grey for brown.Image attachmentImage attachment+5Image attachment

Working on my storage/display shelves in my game room. 2 are up, 3 more to go.

Wouldn't LI be historical as it is set in the 30K lore?

Painted a Warlock for one of the owners of my flgs.

WIP Wednesday.

What are you working on? Were 112 days out, so its not officially crunch time yet. Were about a month out from cart launch, do you know what all you need to paint yet? We ran a Toys for Tots event last Saturday that was Christmas themed. Sadly, Santa was captured by the perfidious Warsaw Pact. Next year, NATO will have to invade Siberia to rescue him from his new workshops. Beyond that, weve been working on Soviet and German infantry for Flames of War.

Wrapping up my NCR for Fallout : Wasteland Warfare!

"What are we gonna do tonight, Brain? Same thing we do every night, Pinky: Paint some more Marvel Crisis Protocol!" My pile of shame isn't all that bad, but there is certainly room for improvement, and I seem to be more productive when there's a deadline hanging over my head.

This block only appears to be Monday the 24th to Saturday the 29th but the convention dates are the 26th to the 30th. When you change the dates it doubles the rate.

Why is Adepticon not listed on the Baird Center Events page?

Is this an event I can buy a day pass to, or do I have to commit to being part of the tour/VIP pricing?

WIP Wednesday Returns!

Its been awhile. Things are getting cool now and we just had some snow here, so that means its time for WIP Wednesday to return. What have you been working on? Ive been mostly focused on game prep recently, have a lot of Germans, Soviets, and Hungarians to get ready for the con. Might try to sneak some Legion Imperialis in, but got to get the work done before the fun stuff. Weve done some playtesting for our scenarios which has been encouraging me to hurry up and get everything done.
