Another few yards and they’d be in position, poised to assault the Dwarves in their own realm. But before their war-leader could order the advance, a sound drifted down the hall, pricking the ears of the goblins. The sound grew louder, a merry humming, completely incongruous with the shadowed tunnel. Then a figure stepped from the gloom, a single Dwarven warrior. His appearance was striking, his long red beard braided and his hair cresting high, but all the goblin eyes were focused on his axe, a massive, double-bladed terror. The Dwarf, taking the axe in both hands, narrowed his eyes and said, “Found ya.”
